At the end of my time studying philosophy
and politics at university my father asked me what I wanted to
do. I knew what I didn’t want to do and proposed to be a
photographer in Paris. He calmly said "fine-I won’t
finance you, give it a go for six months and if doesn’t
work I’ll support you to go to a business school in Europe."
20 years later I continue to lead the life I hoped
photography would allow me to lead. Each day is different ; there
are chances to travel, to learn, to meet ordinary and extraordinary
people. Photography has allowed me to shoot factory workers and
royalty, ghosts and artists, super models and still life. To consult
the oracle at Siwa, fish in lake Hövskul, Mongolia and visit
the temples of Angkor Wat.
